Top Employers and Leading Companies in Cameroon
Cameroon has one of the most diversified economies in the CEMAC region, with major employers spread across the public sector, banking, telecoms, energy, agriculture, and construction industries. The country’s workforce exceeds 8 million active workers, creating opportunities across both local and international companies.
The public sector remains the largest employer, including government ministries, local administrations, security forces, and the education system. Major state-owned companies include SONARA, CAMTEL, and CAMAIR-CO.
Banking is another key employer, led by institutions such as Afriland First Bank, UBA Cameroun, and Société Générale Cameroun.
